Earier breakfast at weekends. I'm still need feeding just as early at weekends!
Nice room, good breakfast, pleasant staff. Hotel was a lot better than I expected and close to a large supermarket and other shops.
No elevator. Lugging heavy bags up the stairs could be a bit of a struggle for some. People wanting to avoid most of the stairs should let the hotel know in advance.
Convenience to the M6
The awkward up/down stairways from reception to bedrooms.
The room was very clean and comfortable - the breakfast was excellent and extremely good value as my son ate for free.
Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Comfortable bed.
Smell of stagnant water - drains - from bathroom
really clean, nice staff and they let us store our road bikes in the room which was a nice touch. Amazing breakfast!!
bar closed too early (11pm on the dot)
Easy parking, staff knew road systems in and out of Cardiff - INternet access was good and cheap
the stay at the hotel fully met our needs for the duration of our stay, staff very friendly and we would use premier inn again
Very comfortable stay
Poor access to rooms with heavy luggage
The friendliness of the staff made us feel most welcome from the moment we arrived and at dinner in the restaurant. Great breakfast too!
Quietness, very nice spacious room with hot power shower.
Hotel was fine.
Hotel entrance hard to find, not well signposted. Restaurant food was awful, over cooked and very dry, service was very slow, had to wait a long time for food.
The front desk staff were so helpful and attentive. The rooms were very clean and tidy.
There was no lift, we had 5 bags between two people and werent sure about how we would get everything to an upper floor where our room was situated. We had to go back to the main desk to see if the lift was in a different area and were told there was none. Instead of changing our room to a lower floor, they put our bags into a small/low lift that was used for moving their cleaning equipment from floor to floor. This was only a minor inconvenience and the rest of our stay was excellent.
We Liked hannah on the desk and the restaurant staff, We liked the room and the bathroom and the quite and the nearnest to do a bit of shopping at homebase.Other than the suggestions below I had a very nice overnight stay
We think that our experience could have been bettered by the following 1) The porridge was chronicly awful (somebody get a scot to show them how to make it) I nearly had to hold my nose to eat it! and there was no syrup to drizzle over it or cream !!! (I joke) but it was really horrible stuff you could have papered ceilings with it. It was that yukky. 2) Give the cleaner a toothbrush to do around the taps and handles in the bathroom ours really did need it. 3) A few outside seats especially around the rear car park possibly on the grass (wifes do sometimes come with husbands and it if the weather is nice we could then sit out and read rather than in the dark bar area while we wait) The grassed area aat the rear of the hotel would be great for seating, next to the rabbits, I spread a rug and read the papers with my Jack Russell who wanted to chase them. It was lovely in the sun. SWIMMING POOL AND SPA now defunked please re instate! My husband was on a speed awareness course for 4 hours!!!
Staff made us very welcome and service throughout was excellent.
What is there not to like?
